Mohammed Ali Ndume, the senator from Borno South who represents the state in the National Assembly, has urged Wale Edun, the finance minister, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and other managers to cease deceiving President Bola Tinubu.
Ndume made this statement in response to the Federal Government’s proposal to assess the nation’s tax system from an upward perspective.
He asserted that by suggesting a tax increase, the economic managers hope to discredit President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the eyes of Nigerians.
“Let Nigerians have enough blood in their bodies before you start asking for donations,” he stated in a statement.

“I’m not advocating against taxes, but please refrain from taxing those who are having a hard time making ends meet. The minimum wage you are paying someone is N70,000, and then the cost of petrol suddenly increases to N1,000.
