General Michael Langley, the Commander of the United States Africa Command, has paid General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, a visit at the Defense Headquarters in Abuja.

The US Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, accompanied the AFRICOM Commander, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Director of Defense Information.

Gusau said Langley praised the approach taken by Defence Headquarters to fight instability.

“General Langley commended Nigeria’s strategy for addressing domestic insecurity and its strategic leadership role in the sub-region,” he said. Additionally, he offered congratulations to the Chief of Defense Staff on his nomination as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Chiefs of Defense Staff Committee.
The CDS promised to work with other countries to eradicate terrorism in West Africa, Gusau continued.
