The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Ibikunle Tajudeen Baruwa, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his second term in office.
Baruwa stated this during a press conference in Abuja. He said
“President Tinubu, whom I’ve known since his days as Lagos State Governor, has always been a reformer. He has now brought this same energy and vision to the national stage.
“As a transporter, good roads are a priority for us. These developments are crucial for the mobility of people and goods across the country, primary healthcare centres across the country, steps taken to repay IMF loans, and the military’s crackdown on non-state actors in the North-East, North-Central, and North-West regions.
Baruwa also commended the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, and the Minister of State, Barr. Bello Goronyo.
BARUWA has described as formidable, result oriented and laudable the giant strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his many transformation activities which ranges from Road infrastructure to Security and healthcare and this requires the support and patience of all .
PBAT has made various laudable and visible achievements such as
the rehabilitation of the third mainland bridge, Carter bridge ongoing, Lagos Calabar super highway, Lagos Badagry – Sokoto – Kebbi super highway, Primary healthcare centres across Nigeria, offsetting of our IMF loans, onslaught against non state actors In the Northeast, North Central and Northwest.
We also wish to note the tremendous CNG vehicle initiative with the sole aim of bringing the transport fare down to the nearest minimum and indeed the testimonies have overwhelmed us.

The Honourable Minister of Transport , Said Ahmed Alkali and his FCT counterpart , Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike ( Mr. Project ) have also worked tirelessly in ensuring that the vision of Mr. President is actualised.
I want to also appeal to Mr President to still do more for the Transport Sector as it is a very important sector of the economy for the everyday movement of human lives.
