Man electrocuted while connecting electricity in Lagos

A 42-year-old staff of an electricity distribution company ( name withheld) has been reportedly electrocuted in Lagos.
The incident was reported to the Yaba Police Division by a colleague of the deceased, confirmed the police spokesperson in Lagos, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin.
According to Hundeyin, the victim allegedly got electrocuted on Monday at about 8.15 p.m., while reconnecting and clearing some faulty electrical wires at Borno Way, by Ayodele Junction, Ebute- Metta.
“He was rescued and rushed to Federal Medical center, Ebute- Metta for treatment, where he was confirmed dead by doctor on duty.
” Based on the report, a team of detectives visited the scene. The hospital was also visited, where the corpse inspected and photographed.
“The corpse has been deposited at the the hospital morgue for autopsy, while investigation is ongoing,” he said.
