No place for school gangsterism, other vices in Oyo.

Following worrisome cases of open street fight among secondary students , the Oyo State Police Command on Friday says the command will not watch this ugly trend continues to feter.

The state police command disclosed this on its X handle on Friday morning apparently following cases that had been reported at the command about students engaging in street fights and other clashes that led to injuries.

It is not uncommon nowadays to see students of different secondary schools brandishing various dangerous weapons and engaging in fights on major roads, especially in Ibadan, the state capital, thereby disrupting the peace.

In fact, two weeks ago, according to media reports, two persons were injured when students of two schools that are opposite each other brandished various weapons and engaged in street fight at the Oke Ado area of Ibadan, causing disruption to business activities in the area.
