Roadside trading: One dies, several injured in Ibadan

A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged woman has lost her life while several others were injured in a lone crash at the popular Eleyele market in Ibadan North local government area on Wednesday.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that a DAF model truck, loaded with granite lost control while approaching the popular market from Dugbe end and killed one person in the process while several others were injured in the process.

It was gathered the driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle due to the break failure, and, subsequently rammed into the market.

The injured victims are receiving medical attention at the neighborhood hospitals.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent, the Chairman of Sango/Eleyele Motor Park, Olanrewaju Qazeem, and Iyaloja of Eleyele market, Chief Mrs Ramota Aare Ajobiare said the incident occured in the early hours of Wednesday.

They disclosed that one person died while several others were injured.

Also, the Public Relations Officer, Federal Road Safety Commission, Oyo sector Command, Mayowa Odewo confirmed that one person died while several others were injured in a lone crash in Eleyele area of the State.
