The Rotary Club of Bodija Estate Ibadan Oyo State extended thier humanitarian work to traders at the Chicken Market at Molete Ibadan Oyo State.
In thier usual manner, the Club, led by the President donated a water tank and rehabilitated the water facility at the market for the use of the traders in order for them to have clean water for thier daily use and hygienic market place for thier business.
Speaking during the commissioning of the water project , on April 29th, 2025, the President of the Club , Rotarian Kingsley Achife a Paul Harris Fellow ( PHF) urged the traders to make good use of the water provided by the club to ensure for themselves and customers who patronise them.
He added that the Club will continue to provide humanitarian services as this is what Rotary Club is all about; stating that members of the club contributed thier finances , time to provide services to others above self.
The Assistant Governor of Rotary Club District 9126 , AG Bisi Yomi-Layinka who was also present at the commissioning of the water tank commended the Rotary Club Bodija Estate and expressed gratitude to the traders for thier support for the water project. She urged them to maintain the water tank and make good use of the water.
The traders expressed thier appreciation to the Club for the provision of the Water tank and rehabilitated facility adding that they will make good use of the water.
Present at the commissioning were the Chairman of the market Alaga Sabiu Lawal, the secretary of the market Mrs Serifat Olapade Sere among other executives.
The Chairman Alaga Sabiu commended the Rotary Club Bodija Estate for the Water tank donated to the market. He said ” We are pleased to receive your donation and we will ensure that it serves the purpose it was given for. God will continue to bless the hands that gave the money and the Rotary Club Bodija that deemed it fit to carry out this humanitarian work for us. We don’t know them from anywhere and they choose our market ,gave us this tank to boost our business. “.
It can be recalled that the Rotary Club Bodija Estate has part of her humanitarian services has donated diapers to nursing mothers, books to school children and treated mosquitoes nets as well as offered free Information Technology Training to youth in Ibadan among others.
